Thermo King Japan Successfully Showcases at 2013 Tokyo Truck Show

Thermo King Japan participated in the Tokyo Truck Show held at the Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) from October 24 – 26.  Approximately 681 exhibitors showed their products at the show, and more than 41,000 visitors attended.

Thermo King Japan won significant market recognition by showcasing its feature products, including Precedent S-60, the brand new trailer unit, T-1080, the nose mount-type SP unit, and Cold Cube.  The sales team acquired lots of potential leads, especially for Cold Cube, the new segment product.

Makoto Suzuki, Climate Solutions Japan Marketing Manager said, “The Tokyo Truck Show 2013 was a huge success and meant a lot to the Ingersoll Rand Japan Tokyo division.  Although the total number of visitors decreased by 50 percent due to the impact of bad weather and the absence of some major body and chassis makers, we were still able to generate 682 leads this year, especially for the Cold Cube and new SP models.

“Although this was our first time presenting Cold Cube to most of these customers, it has attracted interest from many users, body makers and chassis makers.  We were also glad to see the strong interest in our brand-new SP units, Precedent S-600 and T-1080S.”

Through this important truck show, Thermo King enhanced its image as the world leader in transport temperature control systems, and also showed that we will spare no effort in providing high quality and high efficiency products and services to global customers.

About the Tokyo Truck Show

The bi-annual Tokyo Truck Show was first held in 1984.  This year marks the 16th show.  Although the 9th  show in 2000 and the 13th in 2007 were held as joint exhibitions with the Tokyo Motor Show, it was spun off to focus on the truck industry.  Each year the show is attended by major suppliers and manufacturers of trucks, commercial vehicles, trailer trucks, transportation equipment, chassis, refrigeration units and other supplies.
